About

Sexhibition is a consent-based, sex-positive health fair, which includes food, games, and giveaways. We invite campus groups to table in support of and celebration of education healthy sexuality to demonstrate the connections between sex-positivity and anti-sexual violence activism. In the past, Sexhibition took place on Barnard's campus outside Lehman Library. For the past few years, we have moved the fair to Lerner Hall in order to create a culture of consent on Columbia's campus. During the evening after the fair, we invite a speaker to give a talk or a workshop. Past speakers have included feminist porn star Tristan Taormino, sex educator Amy Jo Goddard, director Liz Canner, and NYC's own feminist sex toy shop, Babeland.

This semester I had the chance to be a coordinator for Sexhibition, our annual fall sex-positivity fair, and it was a really fantastic experience. Growing up, I got a lot of negative messages about sexuality that I internalized, and even though it's something I'm aware of now and work to fight against, it's a constant process. I'm really glad that we have this opportunity to share messages of sex positivity at Sexhibition; it's a super important event!

This was my first year being member of Take Back the Night and I was so happy to be a Sexhibition Co-coordinator. It was wonderful to be part of such an important event and great to see everyone come out for tabling and our screening of How to Lose Your Virginity. I look forward to our march next semester and next fall's sexhibtion!

I am so excited that I can be a part of Take Back the Night this year. I really enjoyed the coversations I had with Therese and her message was really central to our theme of sex positivity. It was amazing to see this event come together after months of planning and preparation.
